Hi!

I thought I had dry skin - that was until I went to a beautician.

She told me that I had to cleanse, tone, moisturise and exfoliate every day.

So I got a basic cleanser and toner and started to use those day and night. I also bought some St Ives Apricot Exfoliating Scrub. I use the scrub in the shower each morning.

I also bought a night cream and daily moisturiser. I didn't pay too much for either.

I must say, my dry skin disappeared within days, and my skin has felt a lot softer since.

Hope this helps!

Best of luck!

Hi. You might consider using a lotion that does NOT contain mineral oil as the molecular structure is too large to penetrate the pores of your skin, sitting on the top layer like saran wrap. This causes dirt and debris to collect on your skin and causes our skin problems. Products that contain mineral oil get wiped off over time and do not penetrate your skin, causing your skin to feel just as dry and flaky as it did before you applied the product. You want to stick with a water based product that will penetrate and hydrate your skin. If you're going to use a day crème, use one with a SPF of 8, nothing higher as this is too irritating for the skin on a daily use. You might want to try Arbonne's anti-aging day crème or intelligence moisturizer. Both are botanically based, pure, safe, and beneficial (do not contain alcohol, wax, dyes, chemicals, fragrances, acetone). Most of our skin issues can be avoided by using proper skin care regimens. I would be happy to help you if you're open to giving it a try.

Try some natural moisturisers. Organic is good. You might have sensitive skin so I wouldn't recommend AVON products. Vaseline is fab and works a treat, so use plenty of this...you can even buy it containing aloe vera...give it a go for a week or so...and try to avoid harsh face washes etc...and be careful not to rub your skin too hard with towels. Good luck x

Neutrogena Body Emulsion concentrated therapeutic lotion. It has glycerin and it is lovely for all skin types especially dry. You can't go wrong with this one. It is fantastic for use on the face as well as all over the body. Get the one in the square container and not the long one, it's about $7.99 in the US, as it's no longer available in the UK.

As long as it will not make your face break out, Vaseline works great!! Put it on before you go to bed. Also, be sure to moisturize (try out different kinds of lotions - you will eventually find the one that works for you) every morning and every night . Use a humidifier daily (this dry weather is TERRIBLE on skin and hair), and drink lots of water.

i have allways found that Johnson's baby lotion is the best as u no u can use it on babies that makes there skin so soft so i would try to put lotion on your skin when you think it is dry and this will soften your skin and help to keep it really soft also it wont make you have any rashes as its so mild

Avon, sells a product line called, ANEW. The ANEW retroactive cream, is incredibly nice. It's not greasy, it's lightly scented and your face feels so soft. You can go to eBay and type in ANEW retroactive and buy it there for half the price of getting it from a local dealer. In the AVON book, it's $25 dollars, so you have something to compare to when your looking. I have picked it up from dealers who sell on eBay for over half the price. Often it's someone whose giving up selling. Good luck to you!
