Probably not. Ray Nagin is one of the slimiest, most self-centered politicians in history. Even his party affiliation (he started out as a Republican because he wanted to get on a ballot andthe incumbent Democrats had a stranglehold on the office for which he was running. He then switched to the Democratic party to run for mayor of N.O.) is incredibly self-serving. He wasted no time passing the buck on the whole Katrina disaster. He needs to be thrown out, then thrown into prison!

He will eventually. The firearms are ordered to be returned by a court order and there doesn't seem to be any justification of having it overturned. But Nagin will drag his feet, hating to admit that he was wrong, and will do it as slowly and quietly as he can.
