Don't curl at night unless you are going to put curlers in and sleep on then. It is all about product, start with very clean hair. Take 2 cups of white vinegar and 1/2 cup warm bottled water put it on your hair let it sit for 3-5 minutes. This will strip old product out without damaging you hair. Next wash your hair with curling shampoo & coditioner, get a good mousse and spray gel put towel dry hair then blow your hair straight I would to this all the night before. In the morning curl your hair us a polishing oil (a little goes a long way) on a section curl then spray with a good holding hair spray but with flexablity then blow dry on low and cool to set the curls. Its a lot of work but it works for me andI live in south florida the humidity capital of the US. Good Luck

My hair is the same way... what I do is put gel in my hair while it is wet and then blow dry it and then hang my head upside down and hair spray the heck out of it, then brush it out and start curling... If that don't seem to work I will hairspray the strand of hair that I am curling before I even curl it so it holds better then use hairspray after that too. I have a big problem with curling my hair and I never do it anymore, unless it is completely necissary, because I have to put so much in there that it dries my hair out so bad.

once you have washed your hair put it in to a french plat and sleep like it over night in the morning take it out and your hair will stay curly all day or another alternative is to use ghd straightners instead or curling tongs as curling tongs are not very good if you have straightners put it to your hair as if you are going to straighten it then twist your hand makingsure the tops of the straightners are pointing upwards and pull down slowly. this can make your curls stay in for a long time

If you shower in the morning, towel dry most of your hair but leave it a little damp. Then scrunch your hair with mousse or curling gel.

I use this method simply because even though my hair is wavy it can't hold curls from a curling iron at all. It sucks.

I too have curly hair naturally-or wavy whatever you want to call it. when it was long I strayed away from straighting it because then when I wanted to go back curly or wavy it would fall out easier. So what I did was curl my hair after i got through I would spray with good hold hair spray and then leave it until it was time totake it down, then i would take out rollers and before doing anything I would spray hair again and then run my finger through out my whole entire head , I usually did not brush and would spray it and it would last agood long time. Good Luck Friend!

While your hair is physically still on the curler (when you curl your hair), spray hairspray on it, THEN you can let go. After that, you can spray even more hairspray... if you think it's not going to hold.

be sure to COMB it when you're in the shower, DO NOT BRUSH or else it'll break your hair. when you get out, use a tshirt or pillowcase to dry your hair, NOT A TERRY TOWEL. it keeps the frizz to a minimum. add a little mousse but dont 'scrunch' your hair. and let it air dry.
