Don't let it get cluttered.
Try to highlight only things that are beautiful to you. Organic items ground you to the earth, so you feel like you are part of the world as a whole, not as part of your cubicle. Can you unobtrusively play with a paddle ball for a few minutes? (you know, that old toy where the paddle hits the ball attached by elastic) My psychiatrist recommended this, and it is great for clearing your mind for a few minutes. It's a good tool to stave off anxiety attacks. Have one of those "don't sweat the stuff" books close by. Reading one or two entries will bring you back to what's important in life. Put a sachet in one of your drawers..Have an emergency survival kit with your comfort items: food, worry rock to hold, herbal tea, etc. Whenever possible use vintage or handmade items. If you have a cup and saucer, find some pretty old ones. An older pretty or handmade vessel of some kind can be your pencil holder. Vintage photos are fun. Find a small original watercolor to display. Have a pad of handmade paper available for your own personal notes. Get some essential oils and put a small drop on a warm light in your area.
I have had such bad anxiety attacks that I can't work in an office any more. These are tricks which I use at home. (not all of the home ones will work: the bubble bath, the candles,..ha)
Good luck. I feel for you. Have you tried the Lucinda Bassett program? It's expensive, but right from the first tape my anxiety got better. I still use the tools she taught, and they have gotten me through many a tight spot. I highly recommend it, especially if your job depends on it. The best investment you will ever make in your health. Forget therapy and use this course.

Plants help. Pictures of nature, particularly the sea are calming. You might also want to get one of those desktop waterfalls. The sound of water is very soothing.
