I've been using a acne treatment that is similar to proactiv but much stronger..i think is called acnefree from walmart...anyways...its working wonders...but leaving my face extremely dry and flaky. Is there any thing i can do about this that will not interrupt my acne treatment?

To have dry, tight, flaky skin due to underproductive oil glands. For some people this means less acne.PLAN: Wash your face once or twice a day with a mild cleanser (nothing that calls itself 'soap'), but 'cleansing or beauty bar'. Soaps have too much detergent in them for your skin. Use a Sensitive Skin Bar or Sensitive Skin Face Wash. Follow this up with an oil-free moisturizer. If it has a sunscreen, better yet, but that in the morning.

If you wish to stick with your acne products, you may try Arbonne's skin conditioning oil. It's botanically based with an international blend of pure oils and used to relieve irritated, dry and chapped skin, especially on areas that you may find are difficult to hydrate. You might consider using a lotion that does NOT contain mineral oil as the molecular structure is too large to penetrate the pores of your skin, sitting on the top layer like saran wrap. This causes dirt and debris to collect on your skin and causes our skin problems. Do you find yourself reapplying lotions all day long? This is because products that contain mineral oil get wiped off over time and do not penetrate your skin, causing your skin to feel just as dry and flaky as it did before you applied the product. You want to stick with a water based product that will penetrate and hydrate your skin.

You should get oil of olay moisturizer and put the lotion after using the lotion from acnefree as an additional moisturizer.

Just continue with your routine and add this step when needed.
