Apparently you have never seen how happy dogs are when all the babies are gone.
I take them in from the shelter and usually when we are down to two mommas won't even go near them.
Please get her spayed and all the babies. Contact a rescue to help properly place the minfit little buggers. GSD Mixes are a dime a dozen they are dying everywhere. On the street in the shelters and in tons of back yards. Do you want your offsprings t be the next. Yours had seven pups and each of those can have seven pups and so on and so on. Not enough decent people want them PLEASE SPAY AND NEUTER.

My dog was a bit depressed after her puppies went to their new homes, but this eventually will pass. She is very close to me and my husband so we made it a point to spend extra time with her. Another thing we did to help her is that we set up a play date with a neighbor and his dog. They would come over roughly three times a week for an hour or so the dogs could play. This helped very much. Of course if you want to keep one of the puppies and have the space, time and funds it would be a good thing in my opinion. I wish I could have kept one of my dogs puppies. Good luck on your decision.

Yes, dogs can get depressed. All animals can. We had 2 dogs and 1 died. The other cried for a few days. Animals do have feelings. And they need to be treated just as you would a human. They need to know they are still loved. And they are an important part of your life no matter what.

Yes most dogs get depressed when all the babies go to new homes. If you can afford to keep a pup go for it. Of course like many mothers out there losing or getting their babies taken away does hurt some dogs get over it but others dont just like humans.

No most female dogs are happy when there puppies are finally gone!! i wouldnt adivse keeping one of her pups. dogs usually get very tired of having there puppies around.Im a breeder and i experience this alot my bitches are forever grateful they dont have to deal with the babies anymore. puppies claw them, chew on them, jump and climb on them and you will notice when she starts to wean them that she will spend less and less time till she spends no time anymore with them at all.. sometimes i belive you can actually see how frustrated they are with there young. trust me she will not get depressed!!! also check into having her spayed as there is so so many unwanted dogs and puppies.

I think dogs can get depressed under differnet circumstances. becuase my yorkie that I have last time I wnet on vacation I took him to a sitter this was someone that we had known for a long times so he wasn't staying with a stranger but he wouldn't eat or come out of his dog bed we ended up cutting the vacation short and coming back after 2 days. but instead of keeping one of the puppies get names and phone number of the people the puppies go to and she can visit with them sometimes.

Yes, she'd most likely get sad when her babies go away, find out which one shes most attach too and keep it or find it a home nearby. Just like real moms, when thier kids leave home they get sad too, and so will animals.

It will be difficult, she will search for her puppies. If you could keep one of her puppies, it would be much easier on her.
