Fail to acknowledge Christianity has commited some of the most henouis crimes commited in the name of religion.
They say those that commit them are not christians because your religion is a peaceful religion. This despite the fact those commiting them say they are doing it in the name of God.
When a muslim does it ALL muslims are classed as evil/terrorist, yet christians dont say the same of their religion.

Thank you. On another question, some girl posted a link showing pictures of Muslims holding extremely disturbing posters; using this as proof that Islam is a religion that shouldn't be taken seriously, it's not peaceful, etc.

Well, that's selective recognition. For all those people of similar mind as this young lady, check out this video. It shows the absurdity of a Baptist church. http://www.killsometime.com/video/video.asp?ID=497

Don't you love it how they will apply a characteristic to all Muslims (terrorist, violent, etc.) based on a small sample, but they will totally ignore the fact that Christian populations do ridiculous and heinous things as well (which could be attributed to all Christians if the same logic was used).

I think the problem is the fact that you don't really understand the complexity of Christianity, and maybe we don't understand the complexity of Islam. The Crusades, the Inquisition, and the Catholic/Protestant conflict in Ireland in the opinion of most Christians was not about Chritianity at all. It was about the Catholic church attempting to control all aspects of the population and the government. Most Evangelical Christians do not consider the Catholic church to be Christian at all. I will be one of the first to denounce these activities as against the teachings of the Bible. I also know that there are some good Muslims out there and the bad ones are giving you all a bad name. What would help the situation is for the good Muslims to denounce the bad ones. It may be the fault of the media, but all we hear is bad, bad, bad and no condemnation of it from you peaceful ones at all. In my opinion, you missed an opportunity after 9/11. Had the peaceful Muslims came right out and condemned the actions of those terrorists, it would have meant a lot. Instead we were treated to pictures of Muslims dancing in the streets of every major Islamic capital in the world. I would urge you to get your own house in order before lambasting others.

I personally dont think that anyone religion is any more evil or terroristic then another. I think there is bad people in every race, social situation and religion. Now with that said I would like to point out that muslims that do terroristic actions such as blowing themselves up in crowds and etc. point out that they are doing it for their religious beliefs where as most catholic, jewish , buddahist and whatever else religions dont usually blame their criminal behavior on their religion.Although there r ur exceptions like the mothers who say god told them to drown their children or the people that harrass and either maim or kill abortion doctors they to claim to be doing it on behalf of their god. Hope that somewhat answered your question.

Because they fail to see that Muslims outnumber Christians and if all Muslims were, in fact, suicide bombers, we'd all be dead. That and most Christians I've met haven't even read the Bible, I can't imagine them taking the time to read the Koran.
