i want to download Bearshare.com!!!
how safe is this site, i once had limewire but it just clogged my p.c with shite. has anyone ever experienced problems with it?

Bearshare is loaded with spyware.
Bitstream is much safer protocol for peer to peer.
But always google on the name of the client program you are planning on using to see in anyones had problems with it.

I did use this in the past, but it was full of spyware and made my pc crash, so i've not used it since then.
Try this link it has many share programs and this site run tests on them.

What part of "You are downloading files from a total strangers PC" Dont you understand? How the flyin H do you know the person on the other end is honest? I swear common sense is gone in the world! You people seem to think file sharing sites are impervious to dishonest people!

My flatmate once put Bearshare on my computer and it wouldn't let me in to my work website or e-mails. I had to delete it from the computer to get back into my work stuff. Other than that I've had no dealings with it.

yeah it works the same as limewire, you will proberly get the same amount of rubbish on the pc with adware/spyware/malware etc
if you want to use download use torrents or newsgroups.
