Everytime I hear about it, the person who did it said it worked great! Its where you like still get to eat three meals a day but you also eat a thumbnail sized portion every 13 minutes of something with protein, like a bean or some meat. Do you think peanut butter would count?

I'm doing this with a like 1,000 cal diet. I lost a 1 lb in a day so far.

I did not really lower my calories per day, I usually only eat like between 1,000 and 1,500. It wasn't that hard... lol

Stop the sillyness.

Did you really lose a pound in one day? It's probably just water weight. 1000 calories is probably not enough to prevent starvation mode. Plus, can you see yourself doing this for the rest of your life? Probably not, so I GUARANTEE that the weight will all come back when you come off this "diet".

Just eat a well-balanced, calorie-restricted diet, drink water, and get moderate exercise. It's safe, effective, and it works.

It sounds like just another fad, but no harm in trying as long as your calorie intake is at a level for you to lose. Bottom line is to consume fewer calories than you burn. Exercise is great for burning extra calories and bumping up your metabolism for a while. Also, with exercise you'll build some muscle, and muscle burns calories faster as well so that increases even your resting metabolic rate (by having more muscle tissue in your body).

1000 calories is a bit low for you to diet w/o a doctor's supervision. Normally calorie intake for most people is around 2000 - 2500. If you diet at 1000 cals a day, when you go back to eating a healthy way you stand the chance of putting that weight back on.

When I diet, I try to keep my cals around 1200 - 1500 per day...that way when I reach my goal I don't have to keep my cals ridiculously low (esp if I continue to exercise) just to maintain my weight.
