proclaiming the term Illegal Alien not nice. Since they want to throw out laws protecting our borders, why not throw out all laws. If the govt. is going to ignore these laws why should we obey any laws?

I'll use the term illegal alien if I feel like it. I sometimes use the term illegal immigrant. But no way in hell will I ever use the term undocumented immigrant. That makes it sound like the invader has done nothing wrong. It would be nice if all these bleeding hearts cared at least as much about the citizens who are being displaced by these illegals. They seem to forget that we are human with families too. They also don't seem to realize that many people are just about done with obeying laws that only apply to some people.

They might have an up hill fight, illegal alien is the term used by federal law.

Interesting the way she decriminalizes an activity that jeopardizes the security of this nation. It's not illegal its undocumented.
What I think is most sad about this woman's crusade is that any legislator would waste our tax dollars listening to this crap.
I don't know about you but I am not paying taxes and voting in elections so that these people can waste my tax dollars legislating vocabulary. I believe they can think of more important issues to handle, if they can't I sure as heck can.

It's the "Alien" part they object to. Instead of saying "Illegal Alien" in official documents they would sat "Illegal immigrant". Governments and some businesses have guidelines on what language to use in certain situations. This is no big deal.

It is not a nice word. It makes people think we are from outer space. Even though it has more than one meaning, the first thing that people think of is ET and people from Mars. I prefer "harder workers from foreign countries who don't have papers" but I guess it is a little long.
