While your parents want what is best for you, and a career the medical field pays well and always in demand, you need to follow your own heart as you are the one that will end up doing the job for the rest of your life.
If you can, try to strike a balance with your parents and if your high school has a trade school option, where maybe you could get your CNA while you are in high school and have that to fall back on, but for higher education, to pursue your dream.
This is the solution that my son and I arrived at. He is interested in pursing acting and the arts, both of which the market is already oversaturated with millions of a talented people out of work and waiting on table to get by in between gigs or making a sale on their artistic piece. I am willing to help him financially and emotionally pursue his dream, provided that he first get a skill that he can earn a living at should something happen to me and he might need to be able to support himself on his own.

Become a bobby. Working at a job you dislike is no fun at all, and just because the rest of your family have all gone into nursing doesn't mean you have to. Your mum just wants the best for you, but parents sometimes forget that one has their own feelings and aspirations.

Do what you want to do, not what your parents want you to do, i know its hard becuz you dont want to disappoint them, and if u become a nurse then ur dads gonna feel bad, and if u become a doctor then ur mom is gonna feel bad, so just become a cop because its what u wanna do and you'll be happy in tha future about yourself becuz ur doing something u really want to do. theres no greater job then doing tha thing you love

It is YOUR life, not your parent's. You go along with their demands and you will come to resent them in end. Follow your heart, even if it causes friction for a time. In the long run you'll be a lot better off for it.

Doing something just because someone else wants you to do it could never lead to happiness. If you want to be a cop, then pursue that.

You must listen to why your parents are telling you what they want. Is it because you have special skill and abilities and they think the job would be a good fit? Then, decide on your own!

i think you should do something you enjoy doing. Dont fallow your mom if that isnt what you want to do. You are gonna b the one stuck with the job....not your mom. So it is YOUR decision. if you wanna be a cop...go for it! Dont go for someone else's dreams....go for yours. I hope that helps.
