There is no FAA height limit to become a pilot as long as you can show that you can reach the pedals during your check-ride. That would be like saying that short people cant drive busses or trucks... however, wtih the military there are height requirements, mostly effecting those on the tall end... (an overly tall pilot would not be able to get his knees under the dash in the event of an ejection and would thus break his/her legs.... overly short pilots would not be able to reach the pedals and see over the dash at the same time... Airliers are more forgiving with a wide range of seat adjustments, you can change just about anything, not so with a fighter jet...)

Its like the seat in my truck, sure it is fully adjustable, but my 5 foot tall girlfriend can't fully press the clutch. If my truck is replaced with a 100 million dollar airplane carrying 200 people, if you can't fully reach the rudder pedals or see over the dash, sorry but I hope you understand. On that note, try measuring yourself first thing in the morning. Gravity has less time to compress you (old military pilot trick concerning height requirements).

You can't be too short, adjustability only goes so far. 159 cm, or 5'2", is tall enough from what I know. Best to double check with an airline though for certainty, I'm sure their HR department could tell you in no time.

fairly no longer in airlines! top and physique muscular tissues are no longer required in airlines! because of the fact various top could be uncomfortable interior the cockpit! a minimum of 159cm and a optimum of 196cm! extra top and physique muscular tissues are required in armed forces and in Airforce and not in Civilian international. The candidate could desire to be medically in nice condition and meet the standards.. that s it! Eye sight is extra significant!

One fact would be this: Tall people inspire more safety than short ones. We all know that a cpt shoud inspire confidence ... I know this is stupid, but that's how it is..
