Hi Dee,
I do not believe that there is such a thing as "MUSLIM AGGRESSION". I believe that there are Muslim Sects that want power and will do anything to get it. I also believe that there are those of other religious affiliation that have the same tendencies. They seek power and will attempt to play on people's beliefs to get it. Please do not attempt to rally other religious groups on such a flimsy argument. We need to be strong in our beliefs not in aggression toward others. GOD expects HIS Children to be PeAcEfUl not Warlike. Read, study, and obey HIS WORD. Thank you for this opportunity to speak my mind. Have a great day and a wonderful week.

Dee, as a Christian, I have hated the treatment of the Muslims in this country. Because of a few who have twisted their version of religion out of either zeal, ignorance, (or media who only reports limited information), people like you have decided to lump the Muslims into the terrorist category.

Let me tell you about the Muslims I know, many of them have helped me, by showing kindness and humility. But because of a few radicals, they are being persecuted and discriminated against. The Five Pillars of Islam are something that most Muslims follow and that ethic is very commendable.

So, instead of stating this as "muslim aggression" how about reconsidering this. The vast majority of Muslims are good and decent people.

Just like any religion, there are people who out of ignorance, use their religion to "prove" that they should be doing evil. Other than a religion which practices violence (such as human sacrifices), religion when followed in its correct form brings about peace and understanding.

So, should Americans, Jews, Christians, Atheists, Agnostics, etc band together and stand up against aggression, yes. But let's make sure that we don't lump all people of a particular religion together and make the mistakes of the past (ie, Nazi Germany, Japanese in WWII America, and the wars going on in the Sudan).

Haven't Americans, Jews, Christians, Atheists, Agnostics etc already banded together when they had to stand up against aggression before.
You know, like in a war??

Yes. Because of the ingrained flaws in Christianity and Islam (that they must convert the world), there is an inevitable culture war brewing that's going to devestate the western society and give Asia their chance to be the imperialists.

I see northern Africa practically wiped out in the battle, with massive civil war in sub-saharan Africa.

I see the Middle East suffering a nuclear attack and Israel launching retalliation... and I suspect it will be against the wrong target.

I see America losing control of its security systems and transportation systems and small scale but wide spread attacks plunging the country into panic. Many will flee to Canada and Canada's political and social structure will collapse under the weight.

Europe will erupt into the most brutal civil war mankind has ever known, and I see nuclear strikes in London, Paris, and multiple strikes in the former soviet union areas, particularly Bosnia & Herzegovina and Serbia.

I would estimate the death toll of this scenario to be in excess of 500 million within the first year, with over a billion by the end of the open conflict, primarily in primary metropolitan areas with suburbia also greatly affected.

It sucks horribly to be a big-picture person, you know that?

After the 1973 oil embargo, Americans pulled together and started conserving energy, so that by the end of the 1970s, the Arabs were swimming in their oil. That's the best evidence I can think of to prove Americans can cooperate when the time is right. Unfortunately, we have been duped by the right-wingers into getting back into our wasteful habits again, and it's going to take a major shock to get us back to that 70s saving spirit. I hope it happens soon. It will be a lot easier if we stop putting former oil company executives in the White House.

Maybe, but that's a little unfair. Why must we stand up against Muslims? Hitler was a Christian (and an ******), but did the other religions of the world stand up against Christianity? No, because its not the religion that must be fought against, but the people, whom for the most part come from the same part of the world, where Islam is a major religion.

I think there's a difference between standing up to Muslim "aggression" (such as that cabdriver who ran over the students, or the ones who won't give you a ride if you're carrying alcohol, or of course the suicide bombers)...and being hateful to Muslims in general. I hope you do, too.

Perhaps we should all band together to stand up against unnecessary aggression, period. Regardless of its source.

A need for a peaceful society should go beyond religious affiliations.

Radical Islam is the current global threat to world peace. A thermonuclear exchange would be like a suicide attack only on a grander level. We are as a species in greater danger now than in the cold war against the communist idea logy. We never feared Viet Kong or Cubans to launch a dirty bomb in one of our cities. Nor have we ever had a foe that embraced death.

Yep. We can always roll out the nukes and end it in a a couple of hours if it comes to that. (and unfortunately it probably will)

Our biggest mistake right now is trying to both fight a war and be nice at the same time. It just doesn't work. If you decide to fight, then fight. After you throughly demoralize the enemy and there is nothing left to fight, then be nice.
