I want to work for immigrants rights but I'm not sure what the degree would be classified as.

I imagine just about any bachelors degree will get you started, but a degree in sociology is a good beginning.

Best thing would probably be a law degree, specializing in international law and immigration laws for this country. But that is just a guess.

Probably a Social Workers degree, Sociology, etc. You will have to get training too to be licensed.

If you are looking at legal immigration, social work might fit. However, if you want to help ILLEGAL ALIEN CRIMINALS, how about a Psychology degree to find out what's wrong with you.

Be careful, the illegal alien criminals might get into any program ahead of you that want to start. They do that.
