We'll be staying in the Los Angeles area. I am hoping the dress is casual. We will mostly be sight seeing. Any help would be appreciated.

It all depends when you go.

The best thing to do is go online to get the weather forecast just before you travel. That way, you will have a good idea of what the weather will be. Here's a link for you: http://abclocal.go.com/kabc/index?section=weather&id=4122444

Yesterday, the weather was rainy, cool, and windy, around 60 degrees. In the summer, when it's hot, you would obviously want to wear something different.

In general, SoCal is pretty casual. If the weather's nice, you can wear shorts just about anywhere. Up in SFO, you have to dress up a little more to go out. Here, it's definitely casual. Wear something cool and comfortable, depending on the weather. If you are going to be sightseeing, you can wear cotton tops, shorts, and COMFORTABLE shoes. This is especially true if you are going to the theme parks, where you can do a LOT of walking. In the summer, you can wear shorts day and night. In the spring, you will probably need some pants and a sweater in the evening.

Have fun!

around here, the female dress as skanky as possible. The males dress like gang-bangers.

Seriously, the time of year will matter most. Winter can get down right cold, especially at night. Summer is hotter than hell, especially in the valley.

Just about anything goes here. Just think layers.

I stay in southern california and black eyeliner is super out here too. even yet it fairly is summer season good now so the makeup is slightly lighter and minimum, you ought to use a brown eyeliner, khaki hues of eye shadow, or purely a sprint of mascara.

LA is very casual. My advice is to check the weather channel. It is usually warm during the day but be sure to bring some kind of jacket for at night because it tends to get breezy

You should dress in whatever is comfortable for you for the weather at the time you visit.

In LA we've seen it all, so if you wore a sparkly dress with torn leggings, black boots and pink spiky hair, I promise no one would even look twice at you.

Bring sweaters and layered clothes. Jeans and slacks for restaurants, jackets and maybe a couple of decent clothes for tablecloth dining. It even rains a few days now...hmmm?

SOCAL is cooler than before; global warming is making
LA and Santa Barbara more like SFO. Thanks Bush....

Please specify what months of the year you will be here. What you would wear now is different from what you would want to wear in August.
