If it not something your dog is used to eating, it just may have upset his stomach. I don't think it would be worms already. You just gave it to him last evening. I follow the theory that you never give your pet table scraps.

Hope it is nothing serious.

Naaaa the dog will be fine. That is why the dog was throwing up. His body was getting rid of what was not good for him naturaly. If the dog keeps on throwing up then yes take him to the vet but after a night or day he should be fine.

For the worms or mad cow etc dont worry about that till a year later or so. That is something that has to develope through bacteria. By then you would have forgotten about it.

I'm sure he just has a tummy upset - hope he has settled down now. Dogs should be wormed yearly anyway, so speak to your Vet. As long as he has stopped vomiting and is not shivering or shaking then I guess he just had an upset tum - like we do from time to time. Maybe he is not used to raw meat, specially if he usually has canned or cooked fresh. Woof! woof!

Raw meat? Not a good idea. Uncooked meat could have ecoli. Food poisoning your dog. That would make the animal throw up. Definately not worms. EAch type of worm has an incubation period more than 24 hours. Food poisoning will leave the dog within 12-24 hours. ((I had it in college! it is horribly painful!!)) I'm glad you plan to call your vet. Very GOOD idea! Good luck

Fresh raw meat will not give your dog worms. It may have been too fatty for your dogs sytem or your dog may have picked up a "bug" . If your dog has found a way to get the ointment from his eye onto his paw and he is licking his paw it may be the ointment causing the upset.

dogs stomaces are very sensative to a change in their diet and when one type of food is changed to another it should be done gradually. give the dog some cooked rice with cooked pieces of chicke breast for a few days till stomach settles down then give dog low fat cottage cheese to get stomach back in shape with regular food . dont five raw hambrger again

It's just that his tummy is not used to it.

If he's not better by this afternoon, see the vet as a precaution.

No, it will not give him worms.

Ground meats are very difficult for a dog to digest. Take him for a walk and let him find some grasses to help with his upset stomach. Small as he is, if you can't take him to eat grass try a teaspoon of Karo corn syrup. It will help sooth his stomach as well. But take him out if you can.

Stick to dog food - your dog will be healthier for it.

Any change in a dog's diet can cause them to vomit or have diarreha. See how he is today and if he's continuing I would take him to the vet this afternoon.
