I started this diet on Saturday and in 4 days, I've lost 3.5 lbs. Sounds great but the food is kind of hard to take. I'm not a picky person when it comes to food which is why I'm overweight, but when you have to add water to your powdered eggs, it's tough. I honestly can't see myself doing this diet for months at a time to lose the weight I need to lose. Can anyone offer advice on this for me??

Back in 1982 I was on that diet for about 6 months and lost about 80 pounds.

It only took me a year to gain it all back and then some after going back to regular food.

You should only start a diet that has food that you are prepared to eat for the rest of your life.

We are on it and have been for 2 months.. Some of the food is down right nasty.. but not everything.. I hated the eggs at first.. then I started chopping up a green onion, or a little tomato, mushroom or even just onion.. I use a non stick pan and throw the veggies in first then pour the egg over the top.. I like the egg with cheese the best.. (I hated the egg with the sausage crumble.. that was nasty)...
I've lost almost 20 lbs in 2 months.. and when I find something that I don't like on the diet.. I delete it from my next delivery and add something else..
I would never have tried the hamburger patty.. but my husband wanted it.. They are great.. I top 'em with onions, mushrooms, thin slice of tomato and lettuce.. Hubby has it on a bun.. I splurge and top it was a slice of cheese and fore go the bread all together..
We go off of the diet every Wednesday for a luncheon meeting and sometimes have eaten dinner out.. We haven't gone crazy, but tried to be sensible...
There's lots of variety...
I can't handle non-fat milk on cereal... major YUCK!! but I do like the chocolate chip breakfast bar...
and you can check out the recipe section where people have added their own ideas on the nutrisystem website..
We are going on a vacation this summer so we have lots of incentive..
hang in there....

I am doing the nutrisystem diet too. I have been doing it since December and have lost 25 pounds. The food is not that great! I will give you that... there are somethings on there that aren't that great like the tex-mex rice... GROSS... but the fetticini alfredo and the chicken catchatori are really good.... I keep myself motivated on it by treating myself once a week... i will go to mc donalds and get one of their salads... they are really very good for it to be a fast food salad.... or i will go to the local mexican resturant and get fijita and rice... I do miss real food emensly... but i know this will be better for me in the long run. You have only been on it for 4 days so hang in there! Also... if you have someone else doing it with you its so much easier! There is a group of us here are work that are doing it. Try and find a friend that will do it with....its always good to have support.... and if you can't then you can email me... :) Good Luck!!! You Can do it!!!!

My mom was on a ton of other diets. Nutrisystem was the only one that worked for her. She lost a lot of weight, but couldn't afford the food after a while. But it did work - so keep it up. Good luck and I know how hard it is to diet and I sympathize.

I lost 11 pounds in two weeks on Nutrisystem but then couldn't take the food anymore. I would stick it out as long as you can and switch to just the foods you like. Then, I would move to Weight Watchers where you can eat what you want and just have to monitor yourself.
