Jedi is a rip off of Taoism, George Lucas used a Taoist for his philosophies.

It is not, in any sense, an official religion in the UK.

What DID happen is that so many people reported it as their religion in the last UK Census that it was high enough a percent that it was reported in the final compilation of data.

Its presence in the list of the UK's religious pursuasion in the Census data gives it no legal acknowledgement or justification.
