I vote for James Earl Jones. I know he played Darth, but if he could whip out a Heavenly version of "This is CNN" I would appreciate it.

God will sound like God but if I had a choice, which I clearly don';t it would be James Gardner. There was a short lived, but very funny and surprisingly reverent TV show called God the Devil and Bob. God looked like Jerry Garcia and was voiced by James Gardner. Works for me

Although I cannot site any sources, it seems to me that you would have to be quite the spirited fellow to hear god in this world. Also, who says god spoke to people in tounge? I do not believe the people in the bible neccessarily heard the words of god through their ears, but through their souls.

Which brings me to another situation; heaven. I really don't think there is anything in a place fantasized to be heaven. I believe what the religion of christianity is getting at is that either you go to heaven, or you go to hell. Heaven is not a sunny or warm place, but an eternal state of your soul being at peace. Hell is the opposite. It's not fire, but a burning desired to have done differently. Hell is uneasiness in your soul for eternity. I believe all of the descriptions inthe bible of heaven and hell aren't actual descriptions, but metaphors to the state of your soul after this life.

Thats a crazy question. I want god to sound like sweet music to my ears. I want the voice to be comforting. I don't even think God is going to say a word. He will put words in our head like he does now.

If there is a God, I would say God doesn't sound like anything. Rather, everything sounds like God.
