That is a good start. Also call around the animal hospitals asking if any cats have been turned in. Also call the pound asking the same questions. At both places leave your name, number, what your cat looks like and where you lost it. That way if anyone calls in with the description of your cat, they can call you and tell you where your baby is. Also, put an ad in the paper.
Good luck!

Also try ringing every animal shelter and vets for miles.
Put a lost cat ad in the local paper's.
Go door to door and ask people if they've seen her-someone might have taken her in cos they wanted a cat. Also ask people to check sheds, garages and outbuildings in case she has got locked in.
If there's been any building work nearby check there as cats can fall asleep on building sites and get sealed in by new walls.
Don't give up hope-my female cat is also spayed and once went walkabout for nearly 2 months then came back as if nothing ever happened.

If she has a bed, carrier, or cat tree type thing that she likes and that smells like her, try putting it outside, or maybe her food dishes and some catnip?
Also go to the animal shelters with your posters, and to vet clinics in the area. An ad in the newspaper is a good idea too.
Was your cat wearing a collar and ID tags, or microchipped/tattooed? Lost pets with no identification have very little chance of being returned if found. :(

I'll be honest here- a friend of mine's cat went missing for 2 months and came back! Absolutely fine.
My sister's cat went missing for 4 days and came back but had been run over and after much veterinary help and cost had to be put down- it was very sad.
The poster is key- keep asking around. All you can do is wait. If your cat is neutered it should not stray too much- but maybe someone else is looking after it.
Hope you find it. It will come back to you if it can i'm sure.
Also, look to see if there is any possibility it could be locked up anywhere- garden sheds, garages, cupboards, lofts etc

I would think she is probably near home. What we use to do, was periodically put tuna on a plate in your back and front yard. I used tuna, because the smell is so stong that she will catch a whiff of it from far away and follow the scent. My neighbor lost her cat in the freezing cold for 5 weeks, and it had made a little shelter under the neighbors grill. The neighbor kept seeing it, and found out who it belonged to because they were persistent with putting lost flyers in everybodys door for a while.

Try ringing your local animal shelter to see if anyone as handed her in there as this can usually happen.Cats can go miles so if i was you i would try putting a lost ad in your local paper and in any classified papers as they nearly always have a lost and found section.Another option is making flyers and posting them through everyones doors in your area telling them to keep a eye out and to check their garages etc just in case she as settled down somewhere out of the rain and ended up being locked in.
Dont give up hope as many pets turn up eventually.I hope all goes ok and you find her very soon.It must be very upsetting for you.Oh by the way try putting posters up in your local vet practices too.
Good luck with finding her.

The Animal shelter in your area! Go before she is missing for 3 days then they put them up for adoption! You might want to check in the deceased cat files. I know this will hurt but it has to be done! Good luck I hope you find he safe and sound!

For Beauty: He let his cat out because he loves her and he knows that cats love going outside exploring. Unfortunately she is gone missing but doesn't mean she is gone forever. I can imagine indoor only cats dying from boredom. Nothing compares to the outside for cats.
Best of luck with finding your cat

Studies have shown that cats rarely venture farther than 1/2 mile from their home, especially if they aren't used to roaming. That still leaves you a large area to search. Visit the local animal shelter every day, and look in every cage--be sure to ask to look in the hospital ward, too. Try and borrow a humane trap from the shelter and set it out every night near your house with her favorite food in it, to see if she is coming home at night, but is too scared to come out during the day. Leave a flier with a color photo of her and your contact information with every neighbor in a 2 block radius.
I have had a cat get out, who had never been out before, and come home fine weeks later. So don't give up hope yet.
