Yep – It’s Shielding.

How to fix it?

Magnets!

No really.

The round lump in the cable that connects the Video Monitor and Digital Camera to your computer it a magnet – also called a ferrite choke. Magnets dissipate Radio Frequency noise.

RadioShack sells Ferrite Chokes for $5. I have them placed all over my sound systems.

They will solve your problem!

Gave the same advice last month – Including a link to RadioShack’s ferrite choke and last months question – the asker found he already owned the correct magnet.

It sounds like you might have a bad shield in the wire running from your computer to the speakers. Another thing to check is that the sides of your computer case are on and tight. The radio signals may be getting directly into your sound card.

If you live close to a radio station, you might not be able to remove the signals completely. If the radio signal is strong enough, it can get through all but the most determined shielding.
