Office relationships are complicated. Trust me - been there, done that, have the battle wounds to prove it.
Things are fine as long as you two are together, but after the relationship ends, things become awkward. REALLY awkward. Seeing how you spend a lot of time at work anyway, that could cause some major stress that you don't need in your life. If I were you, I'd remain friends.

I would say that office romances are not impossible to have, but they do make for difficulties that you would not have otherwise. The relationship does not only effect you, but your coworkers, supervisors, etc as well.
