move on. Take the experience for what it was, it will make you a better partner in the future, and help you understand more clearly what it is that you want from a relationship.

You both move on, my relationship with my first love is better now than it was 25 yrs ago. We have 2 kids together but we both have went our separate ways.

Love only grows. So there is no way love can just stop. If that is the excuse, then probably he never loved you.

people grow as they age we want different things as we mature. you will always have some feelings for you first love but you move on that's why there called first loves
