The ? was about "what if satan ran the world" and this girl said, you obviously haven't been around for the past 6 years, I assume she was referring to the twin towers disaster of Septemeber 2001.
So what I'm asking is: Do you christian folks see it as a sign of the apocalypse, the beginning of said apocalypse? Non-religious what are your thoughts?

Several million people have died worldwide as the result of poverty and disease since 9/11 so although it was a tragedy it has to be seen in its proper perspective.

Satan is the ruler of the world, the god of this system of things.
John 14:30; Eph 2:2; 2 Cor. 4:4, 1 Cor. 10:20, Rev. 12:12
One of the signs of the last days Jesus gave was great earthquakes .."and there will be great earthquakes, and in one place after another pestilences and food shortages, and there will be fearful sights and from heaven great signs." Luke 21:11
Could 911 be part of that sign? It shows how bad the worlds condition has become. Nation against Nations (Matt 24:4-14) ...could this be considered a great earthquake...fearful sights. It did shake up the whole world. It definitely confirms that we are living in the last days.

Not specifically, but a number of such events in the Bible Codes suggest that we are indeed in the Last Days. Why else would the Columbia Shuttle disaster show up WITH pictorial diagrams in the Bible? The Twin Towers are also depicted graphically. That doesn't happen in "Moby Dick"!

The Bible does say that Satan is the "god (note the lowercase g) of the world." In other words, he does run it.
In all honesty I'm not sure whether it's a sign of the apocalypse or not. No one knows when that will come.

In a series of books by Piers Anthony (INCARNATIONS OF IMMORTALITY), he described God as being so awed by his own powers that he turned inward and sat on his throne in a catatonic state. I'm not saying that is what god is doing, but I do think if there is a god, that he is not very active in modern society. I think, in part, that is the reason for so many "other" religions with different godds.
Do I see godds work in my daily life, YES, but is it recent activity or leftover from a time long since past? Do you think there would be so much killing throughout the world if god was currently awake, aware, and able to do something?

Bad things have always happened, so what's the difference now?
There are consequences in this world. And the 9/11 is a consequence of bad actions. But people see it as a sign because it stands out because of the BIG number of deaths.

This Christian, does not see it as that specifically.
But what I do see is that as Jesus said, people will become more and more unwilling to believe in God, they will no longer have a natural love for their children. I am seeing evidence that the world is becoming more evil.
Which is like Christ said is like seeing the first leaf buds on the trees signaling spring time, and when you see that you know that the harvest is on its way.
Still doesn't tell us exactly when, just that it is coming.

Some see this earth as proof only God is in control of earth.
Others see it as proof, Satan is running it to be sure.
Ideally, we would like an answer, but having no way to definitively prove this is the domain of either, I shush my mouth till the day things are revealed in the truth.
What idiocy would procure, were I to falsely proclaim this domain the works of Satan OR God, only to find later I am in the wrong?

No. We see it more as one more sign of the times that Jesus referred to in the nearing of is second coming. Things will wax worst and worst. Those things that were good will be called bad, those things that were bad will be called good. The Twin towers disaster is just one of many things to come because of man's evil nature and his love of hating. That is why we need a Savior!

The whole 9-1-1 thing was just an act of war. Nothing in-depth about it. War has been around for ever there is no hidden meaning in it.
