How do we judge if another person is spiritual and if it possible, how can to determine the degree?

The Bible states:
(Luke 6:37) Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

But I find that many people still judge others for being non-christians or unholy etc.

This is possible but a futile pusuit. All religions have different ideas of what is spiritual. You set youself up for failure when you seek to categorize people as spiritual or not. You would do better to learn about sociopaths and psychopaths and watch not for them, but for that type of behavior and situations where you would be vulnerable to that type of behavior in others. The rest will take care of its self. Be very cautious around those who would guide you spiritually. Many of the more intelligent psychopaths try to aquire positions of respect or power over others, include religious and political positions. A common tactic is to preach universal peace, love, and forgiveness and not warn people to decern good from evil and be intollerant of the latter. The key and damning word here is "universal."

Attempting to judge others can be a real disaster. This is a given, those around you, with real spiritual knowledge, will not be a part of any fundamental religion. You will always feel a lot of love and deep friendship with the most spiritual people.
Moreover, if they like you. You will be surprised by their perfect timing and intimate knowledge of your life.

there is not one, but i feel that a person's spirituality is not my business anyway. I choose my friends based on their actions. There are some people in my life i would consider kind of naturally "tuned into" the universe, i would definitely consider them more spiritual than most, but the degree would be based then on outside factors (comparison) so the results would certainly be less than scientific. I think everyone has it in them to be a very spiritual person - it's about awareness and open minded acceptance of nature in my opinion.

Actually, the Bible says we should not be measuring another person's spirituality.

Galatians 6:4,5 ... But let each one prove what his own work is, and then he will have cause for exultation in regard to himself alone, and not in comparison with the other person. For each one will carry his own load.

Also, each persons personal situation varies and therefore it is not fair to quantify what they do in terms of their "works". At Matthew 13:8, Jesus spoke of those who would be producing fine fruit in different amounts ... "this one a hundredfold, that one sixty, the other thirty."

I hope that helps :)

PS: Matt I like that quote. I'd never heard it before.

It is difficult to judge another, but you can gauge your own progress in spirituality by the degre of absense of thought.

Also, by how much peace there is in your life.

You may be able to tell how much peace is in another's life by watching how they speak and what they speak about.

It may be very difficult to see if or how spiritual someone is...there are no hard and fast rules. It does not really matter how spiritual others are anyway.

this is extremely an obtrusive line, yet often in basic terms incorporates 2 words. this is the version between: you're incorrect and that i've got self assurance you're incorrect. as quickly as we are only stating observations in line with our very own ideals, this is extra respectful to state that. That way, you are able to say notwithstanding you opt for, and stay respectful, on a similar time as justifying the question. i could be completely chuffed for a Christian to assert to me: in accordance to my ideals, you may desire to discover God, otherwise He could punish you with Hell yet i could be downright indignant if the comparable Christian mentioned: you are going to Hell, vile ignorant Atheist the version is the comparable because of the fact the version between theory and actuality. no one is conscious something authentic to disprove or teach religious positions. All we've is ideals and non ideals. Being judgemental is stating ideals as info and not ideals, fantastically while it is composed of yet somebody else's outlook. ((((hugs))))

We don't. In the Bible it lets us know we are not to judge anyone! We pray and keep our faith strong and let others see the relationship we have with God and maybe encourage them that this is how good it is with God as our guide.

Jesus said we can tell a tree by its fruit. If a person is growing and doing good things for God, it is self-evident that they have good faith. If they are stuck in a rut, not growing and not doing things for God, then they are not very faithful.

But I would not focus on other peoples faiths. I heard a good quote one time, "Strive in your life to be good fruit bearers, not fruit inspectors."
