I have a t.v. being delivered today from a large retail store. I've never had anything larger then a pizza delevered before and I dont know if its common to tip the guys. I spent over $2000 on the t.v. itself and paid an additional $55 for delivery. Whats the proper eddicit in this situation?

If they do a good job and if it is a difficult job such as carrying it up stairs or if you have a narrow door way I would maybe ten or fifteen just use your judgement if they just bring it in set it down and leave well then no I wouldn't it is up to you really.

I would not even nudge em, they might drop your TV!!!
Seriously, no, though, they are not paid below minimum wage like waiters, they are like movers, paid to do a professional job, especially if they also install complex electronics like home theatre systems and the like..

I would factor in many thing. Was he nice, did he do a jood job...etc. Anywhere from 10-20 is good though.

I wouldn't tip them, they're getting paid by the hour and they're not waiters, they're delivery guys.
