Call your pharmacy. They usually have a disposal service. You shouldn't throw them in the trash or flush them down the toilet as they will get in the ground water. Keep calling until you find someone who does this. Every pharmacist in my community does.

Hi, I am a R.N. Crush tablets, open capsules and flush them down the toilet, that's how we do it! also, just pour liquids. cut up patches, suppositories will dissolve in their own, squirt injectables in the sink and run water, Do Not put needles in the trash take them to the health dept. for proper disposal. Remember to Flush twice and then check to make sure toilet is clean.

Well I work in a pharmacy in the US and we do not take in meds once they leave the pharmacy. We tell patients to flush them down the toliet. Nine out of Ten people are on a sewer system and by the time it goes through all the chemicals and filter systems, it has to harm to the water supply.

You can either turn them in at the phamacy or take them when your community has it's drug recycle day. Some communities only have these once a year but check and find out when your community has theirs and then take them that day.

if you have pills. crush them up and flush them down the tolliet. if you have liquids i would poor them down the tolliet or if you live in the country outside where no one walks alot at.
