it all depends on each person, if you think its going to take you a month to get yourself together and it will take him a month then one month it is but i would not recommend putting up a dealine because if you do then you and him will both be really disappointed in yourselves for not meeting standards. Also, if you set a deadline too early then you may end up rushing into things and things will just get worse from there and nobody wants that, so sit down figure out what you need to change/do and then start on the most important and work your way through, no matter how long you take just remember, Love waits.
