What does it mean? Does it mean like that you two are not together but trying to work things out and allowed to see other people even if you still live together. I have no idea so I told my sister that would ask my yahoo answer account for her. Thanks for the answer..

A break from dating is like a break from work.
For a short period of time you aren't dating, and hopefully trying to avoid being around each other, so you can figure things out about the relationship and perhaps problems in it.
The rules of the break are set up by you and your significant other. Depending if you want to see other people or not, that's up to you.

It's really not possible to "take a break" if you live together. Normally that means you've broken up and are free to live your life with the possibility of getting back together at a future time.

it must be a break season or something because im going through the same issue....taking a break means your confused or you like someone else..or you just need personal space to figure out things about yourself...time to grow and mature...being on a break really means your not together trying to work things out...good luck dear...

Im in the same boat my girlfriend wants a break because the sex slowed down now that i work out so much but i told her NO WAY!! if you need a break you shouldnt be with someone

taking a break means taking a break and if the person who said it really meant it, they would have packed up and left, cause it meant they needed space, needed to get out of the situation for awhile?i think your sister knows exactly what he meant, she's just not telling you?but to me a break is like a separation, all by myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!check again with sister, i don't think she's giving you all the facts?????????????????
