I agree. Unfortunately, some of the colors that are catchiest to children also appeal to adults. Bright colors and shiny or glittery labels are by nature more appealing to the eye, and therefore make us as adults more likely to pick them off the shelf. It's a marketing ploy, because each brand wants to be more "seen" than the others.

To make them less appealing to your children, you can wrap the labelling with white gift wrap, or even just duct tape. Or, keep them in brown paper bags. Brown, white and black are usually less interesting to children than red, green, blue, purple, etc.

Good luck!

My children have never got into cleaners. I put them up, but my children could both climb well. I swaer i had monkeys lol.As for meds, I always kept them all in a large fire proof locked box.

Meds come in all different colors and shapes, some are very pretty. But they have to look different so they can be easily be seperated if mixed up

My kids are 15 and 6 and they are still locked up since I do have some high powered medicines. I am 19 weeks pregnant, and against dr. advice am not taking any of them, because I dont think its safe for the baby, he thinks i should still be on them.

Lock up meds, and also cleaners if your worried.

what us appealing to the child's eye is also appealing to the parent's eye. it's a marketing plot. they are not trying to poison your child.
