I have a 110lb guy who is afraid to be into enclosed spaces because he thinks he'll get stuck. So if his toy goes behind an open door he sits and stares at it, willing it to come out. The funny thing is he can open and close the door himself but wouldn't touch it on his own if his life depends on it.
*EDIT* Tail chasing is a fairly common behavior that often relates to boredom. Puppies do it more then adults and most grow out of it. If the dog is doing injury to themselves you should seek help but if it is a once in a while thing with no injury to the dog just relax and let them play. If you are concerned redirect them onto a ball or other toy when you see it happening.

Ive got a retriever too. Hes nearly 4 and he still chases his tail. He also has mad half hours where he tucks his tail right under him and zooms up and down the room. His party piece is giving you his paw for a treat, but he wont do it unless you say gimme 5. I love it when Ive just come in from work and he brings me a toy. He gets this little smile on his face and he parades round, so proud of himself.

I have an 11 month old jack russell, she makes me laugh all the time. From watching tv, chasing her tail, constantly going to her her bin of toys and bringing me toys the entire day. She brings her toy to me and practically throws it at me...it's so cute. All she ever wants to do is play fetch! I just love a dog's face when you can tell they are totally happy!!

I have a Jack Russell cross, she will sit and face the wall and fall asleep still sitting up. Also if she gets told off she will face the wall and sulk until you let her have her own way. She is a little madam but i love her.

When my dog is sleeping if he is really deep sleeping he rolls on his back and sleeps with his 4 feet in the air, its dead funny. Also sometimes when he is asleep on the floor on his side he puts his back paws up on the side of the chair, or your leg or a cushion or anthing thats handy. We always say he's chillin' when he does that. Hes a Yorkie Chihuahua cross :-)

Sorry don't mean to burst anyones bubble here, but it is not a good thing to let a puppy chase it's tail, I know it looks funny but if it continues it can develop into a very bad habit, if I were you I'd nip it in the bud now, give him something else to chase, like a ball.

I dont have a dog, but when i visit my friend, she has a 3 year old Cavalier King Charles called Ruby, who makes me laugh soo much, everytime i sit down she jumps on me and sits right on my shoulder and licks my ears (i hate that bit!), she has now started to take more notice of my commands than her owner!
I would love to take her myself but it wouldnt be fair on her as I work a lot, plus I dont think my friend would give her up!
