Once people get to know me, they realize that I'm a bit of an intellectual snob. I guess that there are some people who give away their time indiscriminately to others, but if I don't find somebody interesting, I don't waste my time making small talk to them. I'm not looking for validation from the masses. The upside of this discernment is that if I'm talking to you, you know that I'm sincerely enjoying your company, and not just blowing smoke. Some people find this a compliment.

Not more than a thousand or so. I am shy and do not stare at people so they think I remain aloof. Actually, I just wait for others to make the first move. If someone called you a snob, it doesn't mean you are one. @8-)

Well, only my ex-bf, and my so-called "best friend", and my other friends tell me I'm not a snob, and that they are both just mean.
