I need to brush my dogs teeth every other day & I was thinking homemade dog tooth paste would be much cheaper then vet bought. Any suggestions out there?

Make a paste out of baking soda. Perhaps flavoring it with beef seasoning so your dog would sit still long enough for you to do this. Remember, no dog should swallow the paste...harms their stomach. They say the same about our kids swallowing tooth paste. Mine obviously accidentally swallow some...no harm so far. I figure dogs are the same. Try to keep it on the brush more than on the tongue. Good luck!

I have never made my own toothpaste for my dog. You should make some that can be used for humans too.

I remember my parents using a baking soda/water mixture. If you google it I think they might have something useful.
