Hello, I just want to say, that we broke up in Nov. and were going out in Oct. of 2006. Some days, he's nice, and he talks to me and stuff, and other days, its like his personality gets completly turned around, and he acts like a jerk. I wish we could still be friends, and I've tried talking this over with him, and he says,"Yeah, sure we can still be friends." And then 2 days later, we are back in an arguement over the smallest things. What should I do to resolve this problem, because sometimes, I ask if we can be friends still and he gets upset some days and says,"no", and on others, he says,"Yeah, lets just be friends."

Oh yeah, and I have to admit, he can be extremly immature. But I guess he has some kind of charm that I am attracted to that brings me back to him. And sometimes, he tries to hide the fact he still likes me by saying,"You IM me a lot no offence." And I only IM him like once every 2 weeks. And then, he tells me he still likes me... so its kinda hard to tell with him.

He's totally in control here. Should'nt you re-think if you want to live this way? How is it going to be like in a year? are you going to be happy? Just leave him alone for a while, if he comes back to you, not you to him, then give him a chance. Be friends but make him jealous by talking to other people. Also, try to communicate with other friends to see if he's got a girl on the other side.

So, are you broken over the guy being silly or the fact that you broke up?

I have a friend with a situation just like yours. Every week she falls into this trap, where they get close to each other, then they hate each other(more like really angry at each other) and vice versa.

These sorts of relationships are not healthy, and the best thing to do in this situation is to keep your distance for a while. His pride was hurt, and the sting is still inside. He's going to lash out at you and things will gradually get worse unless you place some barriers.

I'm sorry about being blunt and I may be wrong, but I don't think so. Be nice to him but don't hang out with him for at least a month.

Alright, I just saw the newest update so I'm going to edit this a bit. If you gave him a 3 month break, and he's still giving you crap, then most likely things are not going to change between you. It may hurt the both of you, but maybe you shouldn't be friends.

Leave Him Alone. He Seems Really Not Interested,And He's Not Going To Change. You Can Do Better Than That.

you know what to do ... and you hear it and see it but you just don't do it. there only so much we can help throughout the computer...... STOP TALKING TO HIM. really MOVE ON. find some things to do .... you won't be happy that quick but eventually you'll ... stop staying stuck on the same old things over and over again....really put an end to that story because you are the one who is hurting yourself

Sounds like he's got a bi polar disorder, confront him about this when he's in a good mood.
