Sure am. I think every team caught cheating at Daytona should have been out for the season. Not just the car, the team. All of the team and its cars.

i agree that the crew chiefs need to take responsibility and follow the rules set forth by NASCAR.
HOWEVER, i will say that i am getting a little tired of all the universality that is coming to NASCAR. back in the good ole days, racing meant who knew how to manipulate the car to make it better. now, every car is virtually the same. templates are all the same. heaven forbid a team try to flare out fenders to increase gas mileage or horsepower...i totally agree with the majority of the rules that NASCAR has in place as they are safety related, but i think that we are becoming too much like IRL racing. if we all wanted the same car, then we should just go over to that league. part of the great attraction in NASCAR is who has the better car, the better team, the better driver. if NASCAR continues to penalize teams for that 1/8" difference in spoiler height every time, whats the point in improving? shouldnt NASCAR just hand them a car and say here, drive this without making changes...because thats basically what the cars end up as by the time the race starts.

It could be worse, imagine if a sport like say.... Baseball was accused using steroids but it took like 10 years, and then some, for someone to be actually accused of it.
I really don't mind the gray area because you know that everyone is pushing the limits a little bit. Every sport tries to find an advantage somehow until they are told that they stepped out of line and now they have to jump back in. Oh yeah except baseball.

I doubt the crew cheifs are telling the driver they are cheating. They say "if you ain't cheatin, you ain't tryin'." They don't want them to have to worry about it and then the drivers can't get in trouble for it. I would like to see a race where all rules are off. Then the smartest, most innovative team would be up front. As long as they stay out of trouble, that is.

Life is full of gray areas.....Like federal income tax, just for an example. most of us will skirt the gray area. It is a fact of life, so lets get ready for it.

yeah i think its about time for drivers and teams to say "yes we cheated and got caught" instead of"we were just seeing how far we could bend the rules" and i think its dumb that they can appeal the penalties

No, I'm not tired of it. What I am tired of is Nascar making up more and more rules.
