I think you have to experiment with different foods to find what you like. Don't just reach for the quickest and avoid fast foods like the plague, for they definitely ARE boring! There is nothing better than eating with good company and savouring the different flavours of a well-cooked and perfectly presented meal.

The only time I have felt as you describe was when I was ratehr depressed and I could not taste my food at all - everything felt like sawdust in my mouth. If that's what you are experiencing then I think a trip to the doctor is a good idea. You could also be suffering from dry-mouth syndrome in which you fail to make enough saliva to assist in the chewing and swallowing of your food.

Meantime, try eating small things like sushi or those little mini-cheeses and colourful foods!

I get bored of eating the same things. I get bored with having to cook all the time for my family and cleaning up after wards.I just find the act of eating to be work sometimes. Sometimes it is just easier to order out or drink a frappe instead.

You are kidding, right? Nobody should find eating an obligation or boring, on the contrary, it should be a pleasure that warms your body & comforts your soul. Don't just take my word for it, try eating slowly, with people you love or at least like, try new flavours, new surroundings, new food.......
The only times I find eating boring is when I have to eat something I don't like, or eating something marvellous but alone, or worst than alone, in bad company,

I cant say that I enjoy food. I eat cos I know I need to . I tend to bolt my food down because if I actually took my time over it I probably wouldn't eat much at all . I can go for ages without food (I am not anorexic) and used to until I found that I was getting migraines regularly. It seems skipping meals is a trigger for me. So I make sure I eat something on a regular basis.

Funnily I actually like cooking, trying different menus out and recipes.

The "act" of eating? Well, as strange of a question this is, I do actually find eating boring. Sometimes. Othertimes I do enjoy a bite to eat. Making me hungry....I must be bored.

I had an aunt once who said she would eat more, but she just got tired of feeding herself! I guess she found the act of eating boring. It is boring to watch someone else eat, especially if you arent eating at the time.

This really depends on the food and your state of mind at the time, at times all things are boring. Try some different food you would not normally eat.

Absolutely not, eating is wonderful especially if you are eating with someone you love. I would only eat food that I found delicious therefore I actually look forward to it. I also find that if you make your own meals (occasionally) or if someone makes them for you then you really appreciate all the effort and it is such a lovely experience. I am passionate about food amongst other things.

Eating, just eating, can get a bit boring. If there are variations in what you eat then it isn't as boring... and I like to talk to whoever I'm eating with at the time.
