I started working out yesterday and I did 21 mins on the treadmill by walking for 1 minute and running for 2 minutes all the way up to 21 minutes, followed by a 5 sets of ten on the bench press. Hey! Your treadmill routine is awesome for a beginner! It is so easy for people to overdo it when they start out, and interval training is a great way to do it.

Staying away from fast food - good idea. Eating more fruits and veggies - wonderful idea. The only advice I can impart is to attempt to eat the food pyramid within a restricted calorie range. That, and do try to do a more comprehensive strength routine, but if you want to add that at a later date when your current regimin is more automatic, that's fine too.

Good luck! You seem to know what you have to do.

The Trim System Body Kit is really good. It focuses on the Protein Plus Diet created by the Better Life Institute which encourgages healthy balanced eating for a lasting lifestyle change.
It also comes with delicious meal supplements like protein bars and shakes and natural supplements like CLA, Citrimax and Chromatemeate so you will curb your appetite and retain muscle while you are losing fat.
For excercise it comes with DVDs that only take 10 minutes per day and focus on the four basics of cardio, weight bearing, core and stretching.
This is simply the easiest, most natural and complete program I know of.
You can get it at www.jewel.mychoices.biz All the best.

You have to lose weight the way you gained it-----slowly! Stay away from fad diets. The best diet around is Weight Watchers----it is balanced. You have a double whammy----you want to lose weight and also build muscle. To lose weight you need to do aerobics like on the treadmill like you're doing but increase duration, speed and incline to achieve a faster burn. As for muscle building, the best way is to use free weights. If you can afford it, get yourself a personal trainer.

If you buy or check out the book the Abs Diet, by David Zinkzenko (the editor of Men's Health), it will tell you everything you need to know about diet and exercise for particularly burning fat and working the abs. It's very reader-friendly and tells you how much exercise you shoudl be getting, how much protein you need, how to get it, etc. I highly recommend it.
