I have been in a similar situation as you.. The doc told me I needed the zyprexa, blah blah blah.. But I wasn't so sure, so I played a little game with him. I got the prescription from him, but never filled the prescription. I kept seeing the doc and was lying to him that I was taking the zyprexa. After awhile he started lying to me, telling me he was noticing big improvements in me.. So I realized the paranoid person wasn't me, but actually my psychiatrist.. I haven't seen him since, and I don't take any zyprexa (or any anti-psychotic for that matter).. I prefer dealing with my issues using the drug-free approach.

You're probably highly tuned and intelligent and you said more than you should about the abnormal thought process that we all have from time to time but supposedly "Sane" people never admit to out loud... and as a result, this idiot wants to use you as a guinea pig to see what the medication will do to you. Go to another Doctor and get a second opinion... make sure that they are not in some way affiliated or golf buddies either.
Everyone gets paranoid and delusional from time to time. Don't trust the kind of witchdoctor who is not willing to try and heal you without the use of drugs first... He can't be in your head all the time to know if it is neurosis or just a bad week or month? Use your common sense and go see someone else.
Don't go off the medication by yourself... Just go see someone else who is willing to try therapy and only use drugs as a last resort...
Zyprexa has a tendency to cause massive weight gain... Be careful!

Olanzapine is an antipsychotic also used as a mood stabiliser
It has serious side effects..read the accompanying leaflet for more details...."Psychosis is the first diagnosis on the ladder to
full blown terminal mental illness by way of mild schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder leading to longterm compulsary hospital admission, regular(sometimes forceable ) injections, retraint by the nurses, seclusion( the rubber room)full time observation
Abnormal thought patterns needs more clarification..ie tangental thinking.. flights of ideas..flights of fantasy etc
Myself i prefer exponential thinking and ideas of flights..
fantastic flights...Take a holiday, find a warm beach somewhere and chill out ..dont commit any crimes and dont say your sane!!

Psychosis is when you have abnormal thoughts, so that is self explanatory. It makes you suspicious of other people and sometimes unable to trust yourself. It is a chemical imbalance in the brain, and olanzapine may help to put it right. Please don't be so afraid. Many people have this problem.

You need to call the doc back and ask him for more specifics. No one here can tell you what is going on as we were not in the docs office with you and don't know what the doc told you. Call and have him explain this all to you.

You need to get them to listen to your questions that you should be asking them. If they don't satisfy your mind, then I would see another doctor that will answer your important questions. You are important too. You deserve to know, and don't let them say any different.
