i have had several peircings done and i think it's time for a new one. i have my tongue, belly button, tragus, rooke, and nose done. i was thinking about getting my hood done, but i'm not sure. how long do you have to wait after it's pierced before having sex? my rooke still hurts all of the time and i've had it done for a while. i would also like to know if anyone has had that experience with their hood.

the hood is actually an incredibly good healer even in comparison to tongues and belly buttons and so on. this is because the length of the piercing is very short and the skin is soft and flexible.
it should hurt alot less that any piercing you have, since the skin of the clitoris hood is practically paper-thin so the needle has hardly any skin to pass through - unlike the belly button or tongue.
provided your piercer knows what they're doing and doesn't put too large/small jewellery in then walking, sitting, and moving about shouldn't aggravate the piercing so it will heal quickly.
with relation to how soon you can have sex after having it pierced, you should wait at least 3 days then be careful for about a week after that too to be on the safe side - BUT you should still wait about 6 weeks before changing the jewellery to avoid infection.
you should be aware that there are different types of hood piercing: vertical/horizontal and for aesthetics/pleasure.
whether you choose to have the piercing vertically or horizontally is purely down to which you prefer the look of.
also the piercing can be done either purely to look good, or to also be pleasurable when played with - the difference is in the placement - 'for pleasure' the piercing will be done so that the jewellery will come into contact with the clitoris for stimulation.
don't be embarrassed to say you want it for pleasure as well as just to look good, the piercer is not too bothered either way.

I had my hood done and it did not hurt me at all but i have a very high tolerance for pain. It was however sore as hell afterwards and i can't remember how long they said to wait befor having sex, i would say wait til it heals because you don't want to risk infection or the pain when the dude is it hitting up against the peircing, that shyt hurts like hell. I would say wait about 2-3 weeks or you can wait 6 weeks i dunno.. Do it whenever you feel your ready and you think it's ok but the peircer will go over everything with you, you can also call and ask a peircer...

Most places will tell you that you can have sex whenever you feel ready (some women have sex the same day, most wait about two weeks). Some places will tell you to wait six weeks. Whatever you do, make sure that you keep all body fluids away from the piercing for at least six weeks.
Many people I know say that hood piercings don't hurt at all.

i just had mines did yesterday and the piercer told me i could have sex whenever it stopped hurting; just to make sure that i washed the area before and after with antibacterial soap. (i have a lil pinching feeling but no swelling occured) Yes it did hurt, but not as bad as the labret or nipple. It only hurt when the needle got to the middle and came through the other end. (felt like someone holding the skin with a sharp fingernail, but over in 3 seconds)

i have my um... well you get the idea and the girl that pierced mine said once it healed so i don't really know but good luck with it
