Neutering isn't a cure all for moutning behaviour. He needs to be told a firm NO everytime he mounts something. This command has to be given consistantly EVERY time he mounts, forget once and you'll be back to square one.

If your dog tried to mount you, do NOT stand for it.
Push your dog on the floor and make him roll over on his back. Then, kneel down right over him, with your arms near his head. Give him a stern look in the eye, this is telling him you are the boss.
If he starts to lick your chin, let him. This is also a sign of respect.
Other things you can do to make sure your Dachshund knows that you are the boss are:
Don't let him walk through doors before you do
Don't ever hold him above your head
Don't let him walk in front of you.
Hope I helped!

lol... sadly you can't... we have the same problem with our little basset hound boy... We got him fixed when he was six months old, but he never stopped humping... lol he tries to ummm... well... mount his sisters (also basset hounds) all the time... so honestly I can't really think of a cure....

my male dog is neutered. the reason why they still mount is a dominace thing. he tried to mount my leg when we first got him. i would push him down, jst like a mother dog would, and growled a no at him. he did it one other time and i did the exact same thing. he stopped. he did it to my fiance and i caught him and i did the growl and he's stopped.
hope that works.
