sometimes it depends on what kind of shampoo you use. Pantene really makes my hair staticky. try going a day with out shampooing it and just use conditioner. also put a little bit of gell in your hair and see if that helps. i hate winter b/c the same thing happens to me.

You could take a dryer sheet and rub it on your hair, but it only works for a little while. I would recommend a product called BioSilk. You can find this at most beauty product stores. J C Penney also sells it in the salon. A little goes a long way, so pour a little dab on your hand (just enough to moisten) and rub on your hair after blow drying. Try to avoid your roots, sometimes it makes mine look really oily like I haven't washed it in a few days. I also have a static problem. This always works for me. I hope it helps you too.

If your Hair is long, every Hair rubs against each other. This causes Friction, and the Friction leads slowly to a Charge. It's like Thunderflashes and Clouds, where the Raindrops rub at each other.
To stop this, you could try to wear Shoes that don't Isolate the Charge (like Rubersoles) - if you only have such, try to put a Nail through it (sharp End out), and cut off Everything that looks out on the bottom Side. You might to want to seal the Hole with Silicon or similar stuff...

Sleep with a humidifier in your room, and rub your head with a dryer sheet.
Seriously! Works on cats too so you don't zap them when going to pet them.
