Here's a simple formula for keeping the acne away.
1. Go Buy two face cleaners: 1 clearsil pads and 1 apricot scrub
- Use clearsil pad to clean your face every morning and before bed. (Wash face with water, dry, use pad, don't dry).
- Apricot scrub. Use this at least once a week. Best to use every other day though. Easiest to use in shower. After use then use clearsil pad.
2. Use rubbing alcohol for spot reduction. Dip Q tip in rubbing alcohol and apply to pimple before bed.
3. Don't cause scars: Don't pick if you don't have to.
4. Keep your hair clean. Our hair has so much oil in it (even dry hair). Many people don't realize that a lot of acne comes from hair. This means shower at least every other day.
5. Keep your pillow case clean. Wash weekly. If you don't have washer and dryer then wash in bathtub. It holds a lot of oil!
6. If you are a female you can also buy some concelear. If you can afford it buy oil free concelear (like Physicians Formula). If not then buy 99 cent concelear (wet n wild brand is cheap). You can use this to cover up acne while in public and for some reason i think it helps to wear it.
7. Drinks lots of water!!!

If you can't afford to buy acne products listed above there are home remedy formulas.
Instead of clearsil pads apply rubbing alcohol with cloth.
Instead of apricot scrub mix oil free soap with sugar (I used to keep a glass jar of sugar in my bathroom).

If this doesn't work you can ask your doctor to prescribe Benzol Peroxide (use it in place of the cleansing pads), it's a bit stronger.

You can't get rid of scars until you've been acne free for 3 months. At this time you can start using scar meds. like Mederma.

Tip: Hot water opens pores so you can clean them out. Cold water closes them.

Tip: Don't ever rub face dry with a towel. Either blot dry or let air dry. Towel particles clog up pores.

REMEMBER: You have to use all steps for it to be effective.

Hope this helps!

Hi There. What many people don't know is that most soaps and cleansers on the market contain mineral oil, the molecular structure of which is too large to penetrate into the pores of our skin so it sits on the top layer like saran wrap. This causes dirt and debris to collect on our face, thus causing our skin problems. Most products contain harmful ingredients such as alcohol, wax, dyes, chemicals, fragrances, etc. These strip your skins acid mantel which is its protective layer and causes more skin problems. One thing to remember is that you don't want to DRY out your face because your skin will try to overcompensate by producing more oil which will cause more irritation. You might want to try Arbonne. It's a Swiss company that is regulated by the FDA and formulates their products without the harmful ingredients listed above. Their products are botanically based and beneficial for all skin types. Arbonne has a great acne line where people have seen amazing results! (http://arbonne.com/products/beyond_basic... They also have a great dietary supplement to support skin from the inside out targeting troubled skin with vitamins, minerals and L-Lysine, an amino acid. Stay away from touching your skin as it encourages the spread of bacteria and excess oils, leading to breakouts. Also, excessive cleansing and scrubbing can make acne worse. Just some things to think about.

I have been using Benzoyl Peroxide and my face has cleared up alot. I have stuggled with acne since I was 14 or so and I never could find a good medicine. That proactive stuff does NOT work! Jessica Simpson is a lier!!! Benzoyl Peroxide can be perscribed by your doctor and you use it twice a day. It may burn and cause drying but PAIN IS BEAUTY!!!

Acne isn't caused by chocolate, dirty hair or skin or most of the other things we've heard of. For the most part, acne is hereditary. It runs (somewhere) in your family. Other causes are stress, oil based make-ups and cosmetic products containing lanolins. In people prone to acne, foods containing iodine can bring on an attack. Some birth control pills can cause an outbreak too, Ovral, Loestrin Norlestrin and Norinyl can aggravate acne. OTC meds with benzoyl peroxide can help. More if you need it. Just email me.

Have you tried the clean and clear products? They are great! But in addition I think you should see a gynocologist so she could give you some contraceptive pills with acne benefits. It really works to regulate your cycle as well as clears acne.

i might be able to help this sounds way dumb but give it a try. ok buy noxema get CREAMY tooth paste not the gel kind and get alittle rubbing alchole. take a tablespoon and scoop out like half the bottle of noxema put in a table sppon to two table sppons of the tooth paste and about 1 table spoon and a half of the alchole. mix it all up good . put it on your face for the night. then get up and wash your face with LUKEWARM water. more toward cold. this will dry your face of oils that cause break outs. your face will feel real tight for a few hours just to warn you but it will pass. i did this for a few weeks and got rid of BAD acne on my forehead and face. good luck.
