Many Christians would die for their beliefs. Would you?

Probably not. But it wouldn't really be a question of dying for my beliefs - it would be more like fighting or dying for my and others' rights.

And perhaps it needs to be said - we've already decided that dying for a cause doesn't lend any credence to the cause.

If I found myself living under the sort of fascist Christocracy some Christians would like, and threatened with death if I didn't believe, you know what? I'd say, "Well, heck, then I believe, obviously!" And because I know my stuff, I could make a pretty good show of it. In myself, I'd be just the same old atheist.

And I think that most Christians, under threat of extreme persecution, would hide their true beliefs in exactly the same way, and not change inside. History shows this to be so. Those who would die on either side, when they do not need to, are fools if they cannot see that no-one can control belief.

Atheism is not a belief system. Atheism is a label. Most atheists are truth seekers. I will not die for the truth but I will spend my time alive searching for the truth.

Dont listen to those idiots. I used to be an atheist and atheists are nothing else if they are not pragmatic and self-serving, of COARSE they would do whatever they could to avoid the AX. People arent willing to die for lies, especially atheists. But they will lie, cheat, steal or do anything to keep their lives because they believe that is all they have in life!

Of course the truth is that many Christians are willing to kill for their beliefs.

If it came down to someone saying they would kill me if I didnt change...then yes I would die for it. You know...unless they are stupid enough if I told them I changed and didnt...and that would work to.

I love life to much and would rater not die because people dont understand why we dont believe in god (even though we have told countless times)

That is if you mean if christians are the cause of why we would have to die.

That's rubbish. Put a gun to a Christian's head and they crap themselves just like everyone else. The last time I pointed that out I got violated but it's true-you know where the report button is if you have a problem with it.
