Always get information like , where they are going , telephone & cell no's for them & other family members , Docter . & any other emergancy info . Permishian for emergancy treatment .
Never have your friends there with you . You need to have your mind on the kids , not fun & games . Pay attention to the kids not phone calls , get rules from the parents .
Baby setting is fun & you can earn money .
If you do a good trusted job for some one They will pass it on to other parents .

13 is a great age to start babysitting. That was the age I started. You are the perfect age, I am 14 also.

Now is a good age, especially if you babysit kids you already know well, like in your family. I started babysitting at your age, I watched my older cousins child during Easter vacation, and started my own savings account with the money I made. It's good even to start out with watching kids at their house if their parents are still around, but they are busy doing something. That way you can get used to babysitting, but the parent would still be there for you to ask any questions, or help with any problems. I did that for someone once, a neighbor would call me to watch her baby daughter when she needed to go out and do yardwork in the summer.

you are a good age! I am only 12 and I babysit. I babysit kids up to 7 (so far). Also my sister (who is 14) babysits kids who are 12! So i think you are a perfect age! But if you are younger than 14 you need to be certified. (which I am) And you need to take a babysitting course. I think you are fine, but if you want to know more about like CPR, and things like that it is always great to take the course and become certified! Good luck with your babysitting business!

I started when I was 11, but that was just my sisters and brother. But I was 14 when I started babysitting other children.

I think that is a good age to start. I have three kids (4-9) and my current baby sitter is 14. She is responsible and plays with my youngest. I like her and I trust her.

Between 11 and 13 I think.
But check out possible "Employers" with your Parents first - to many Dirtbags use "Babysitting" as an Excuse to do some nasty Stuff.
And, if everything seems ok, check up weird Mirrors. Especialy in the Bathroom...

I started when I was 12. But looking back, I'm not sure I would trust my kid with a 12 year old. Maybe I'm just overly picky about stuff being done, though. I'd say if you can find a neighborhood family or your own family to start with, you can start now. Have fun!

as long as you are responsible and don`t let your friends come over to "help" 14 is a great age, just remember the child you sit for is your responsibility.
