It is advanced in many ways but is not comparable to Europe. China has been through much social strife during the last 100 years and under Communist rule. None of this has been conducive to the advancement of culture. In Beijing, Shanghai and elsewhere, young Chinese look to the west for cultural influences. You will find MacDonalds, KFC and lots of American restaurants and bars in the major cities. Good question.

I think the Chinese culture is too sophisticated to be advanced than the Europe.

Certainly not. Just look around and you'll see why. I would say Chinese are trying very hard to imitate, copy lifestyle, get Western education, buy the things Europeans have had for long time, look as white as Europeans by applying all kind of whitening oitments etc. But this is where it ends - Chinese mentality, and in general peasant society, places them some 100-200 years behind Europeans.

While Europe was still in the dark ages and lived in caves,Chinese civilisation was highly advanced having invented most of the necessities of life and had very high standards of education.

Oh, yes, but in that to Europeans so difficult to understand Chinese way... they probably never meet in the middle! What a pity, because both could learn from each other and complement each other!

Spitting everywhere, talking loudly on the cell phones, rude manners, shouting across to one another across the table and peeing on bushes and sidewalks are sure signs that the Chinese culture are more sophisticated and advance than that of Europe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Period!!!!!
