are you feeding her the same amount of the new food as you were the old? if so, cut it down (check the bag for guidlines) because the new food is better and more dense, the dog will need to eat less of it to get the same nutrition! you are doing a good thing for her by switching! just cut down the quantities and do it even more gradually until she is used to it.

For my dog, he can switch brands in the blink of an eye without having any problems. But this is not always the case.
Maybe you are going too fast? Try feeding smaller portions at a time. She may have gotten so used to Purina her body wants to reject the other food. Try putting mostly Purina with a little bit of the new food, and see if she at least keeps that down. Gradually work up to 1/2 and 1/2 and eventually up to 100% new food. Sometimes it takes dogs longer to adjust.

a severe change in diet can result in your dog throwing up. try adding just a little of the new food. Every few days add a liitle bit more until the whole bowl is filled with the new food.
P.S. mix the new and old food together. Don't put one on top of the other or the dog will figure out that theres two different foods.
Hpoe this helps!

You can change a dogs food by fasting your dog for 24 hours as well. If the upset stomach continues, try to brown some ground beef (drained & rinsed), mix it with some cooked white rice and keep your dog on that for a couple days. If the tummy upset doesn't go away be sure to see your vet to make sure nothing else is going on.

youre gonna want to feed him food that has meat "meal" as the first ingredient. or else there is alot of extra water in their and you have to feed him a bigger portion size...and he'll gain wait. he may be allergic to the protein for the certain animal they get it from. try eagle pack. they add digestive enzymes, and there is no transition period cause dogs love the stuff. its organic, with no fillers, byproducts, artificial colors or preservatives, it doesnt have soy ( which can harden dogs arteries) or wheart or corn...

You seem to be doing right. But you may have a dog with a sensitive tummy. Make sure the new brand is chicken based. What brand is this you are trying?

It's possible that the new food doesn't agree with your dog.
It's also possible that a medical problem is causing your dog to vomit. Since your dog seems to be vomiting often, I wouldn't wait too long before getting this checked.

just take it slow. slowly start adding little by little untill she gets used to it. thats what we did for our dog. Her stomach might not be able to handle it right away since she is so used to the food she has been on.
