Probably the trips are triggering stress. You can't not go on the trips so you will just have to manage the condition as best you can, with perhaps a low-grade tranquilizer from your GP. Think too about what you are eating as several foods can contribute to it. Have you eliminated eg dairy and /or wheat products for a few days? I think you need to do some research on the internet and work out what foods suit you. Finally, as stated earlier, the sun is excellent for eczema but you must wear a very high sp factor as your skin is already very sensitive.

The cause of excema is not known but aggravating factors include hands that are in constant contact with soap and water, harsh household products and some vegetable juices. If a physician does not specify a particular regimen, Arbonne has some recommendations that might alleviate some of your discomfort. Although it sounds silly, the ABC (Arbonne Baby Care) line is perfect as it is the most sensitive, pure, safe, and beneficial to your skin. People with skin conditions have tried these products and experienced amazing results. The products are formulated without chemicals, dyes, fragrances, mineral oil, alcohol, wax, acetone, etc. They also have a great intelligence conditioning oil and rejuvenating cream that can be used whenever you feel it's necessary to relieve the discomfort and itching. I would be happy to send you a free sample if you would be open to giving it a try. Good luck.

My oldest child has this problem. I use a mild steroid cream when outbreaks are really bad!!Most severe outbreaks happen in the winter!! I use Utter Cream on the affected parts and he find it really soothing. In the winter try to cover up as best as you can!!As for laundry soap, I use Sunlight Sensitive!! I find Tide and Cheer to be too perfume and harsh!! But this is going to be something you have for life, one thing, warm weather seems to clear it all up!! My son is eczema free in the summer!

Even though you dont suffer breakouts all the time, you should still be using an emollient every day to prevent these breakouts, as it will stop your skin drying out. (I use doublebase)
The doc should be prescribing you to have it all the time, plus hydrocortisone for any breakouts. Also get the doc to prescribe you an emollient wash to use on your body instead of soap. (I use Oilatum)

I haven't read any of your other post but I suffer it also. I have found my triggers are certain types of clothing. I can not wear any type of wool or rayon. I try to stick with cotton clothing and if I have to wear something else I always have a layer of cotton underneath. My home solutions are to scrub my body with one of those green or blue scrubbers you use for dishes and then I moisturize with a good moisturizer. Sun light and tanning beds are another great source of prevention.
