If you are having an option to buy jvw jetta 1.6L or 2007 honda civic 1.6L (JDM) which one would you buy?

I would likely buy the Civic, as it is more reliable. The Jetta would be more fun to drive, but not so much as to negate the reliability.

the Jetta may hold the value more and has a stronger body. The Honda may give you better mileage and trouble free for a few years. if you drive in smooth roads, the Honda is more appropriate.

I used to like imports until I had a 96 Mazda truck which is an American made Ford Ranger.

My brother owns one of each. He traded a 1 year old VW for the Civic. VW autos are very expensive to fix, as compared to Hondas, which are more expensive than say a Chevy, Ford, or Chrysler.

I would definitely take the Honda. Honda's get better gas mileage and retain value better than the Jetta.
