You use a curling iron.
Or for the super lazy...like me...invest in some hot rollers. Plug it in while you get dressed, roll them in your hair, let them cool while you do your makeup...usually takes about 10 min.
Take them out...wha la...instant curls.

Make sure you're using the right shampoo/conditioner for your hair type. Make sure you aren't overly washing your hair...your hair has natural oils that keep it smooth and healthy.

Check out the hair products for frizzy hair that Pantene makes. Let your hair dry naturally as often as possible so you won't cause more frizziness. There's nothing you can buy to make straight hair curly, unless you have the hair permed. If you have a history of frizziness, I'd stay away from putting chemicals on your hair. They can only perpetuate your hair problems. I do like the Pantene hair products, especially the spray conditioner that you leave in the hair. Comb it through your hair with a wide tooth comb & let the hair dry on it's own. You can fluff your hair up with your fingers, a little as it dries, but not too much.

If you have straight frizzy hair, I hear ya. I also have thick hair on top of that, and I use John Frieda's Frizz-Ease products. They're awesome and work wonders. You can purchase them al Wal-mart, Target and most drugstores, so you shouldn't have a problem finding them. I use a product from that line called "Secret Weapon" and it a finishing gloss that you apply to your hair after it's dried. I use it every other day and love it.

If you want to wear your hair culry, get a large-barreled curling iron. On dry hair, take a small chunk and brush it out and spray hair spray on it. Curl it up with the iron, and hold it there for about 30 seconds. Gently let go of the iron, and spray again. Do this until all your hair is curled.

It's a hassle, but it's what has worked best for me.

Another option is getting a perm. I had one a few years ago and liked it because I always had the option of flat-ironing it if I wanted, which I found easier than curling it.

Good luck.

For frizzy hair you should use hair polish drops you can find them in any beauty supply store they really work!! To make straight hair curly what you do is after you wash it apply ALOT of mousse on it then apply Alot of hairspray. Flip your hair over then get a diffuser and start diffusing it. (I like to divide it in to 5 sections). Make sure you dry it really well then flip your hair back and style it!! Hope this works for you!!
