i have shoulder length curly hair. i am half black and white so it's fairly curly but not kinky.

is there a such thing as hair extentions i can use that matches curly hair that doesn't look fake, and i can re-use aka: clip into my hair? my main concern is for it not to look fake!

i cannot seem to grow my hair past my shoulders, i have always loved my hair but i have always wanted it longer. everytime my hair gets to my shoulders i have to trim it because my ends get to dry( i make sure to condition my hair alot), and it also seems to slow down growing when it reaches a certain length....

can anyone forward me a link where i can check it out? or let me know if this exsists?

thanks

The clip on extensions: You will need lot's of them, it will not be cost effective, they tend to fall out easy, and they will look fake.

Professional Extensions: There is a technique, that will take hair that matches your own, and it is glued with a hair-safe glue to your own hair in small sections. The result is a natural look, that you can comb and brush and style as usual. Lasts 8-12 weeks. It won't damage your hair, as the glue is silicone based and won't be absorbed into your own hair, nor will it dry out and break your hair. It isn't glued to your scalp, braided in, or woven in. Expect to pay around $500 to have your full head done.

Chemical relaxer: You can also increase your natural length by chemically loosening your natural curl. Your hair does grow, and if you pull it you can see just how long it really is. The curl is hiding the length. By loosening the curl, you're gaining inches without increasing the time to style it. It's a reverse perm, where perm solution is combed through your hair, and left to process. This won't eliminate the curl, just soften it to a looser wave depending on how long it is processed. Expect to pay around $100, and have it done 2-3 times a year.

For your ends: Deep condition your ends by rubbing a dry hair treatment into your ends before bed. Try Bed Head Split End mender. $14-$18.95 at salons. Get 1/4 inch trimmed every 6 weeks. Avoid coloring and excessive heat, use product, such as Tigi Curls Rock, and allow to dry naturally. The Curls rock does not dry stiff or crunchy like gels or mousse, but it still seperates and controls the curl and frizz.

Just go to your local beauty supply and they have all sorts of varieties of hair, colors and texture. Ordering online will be risky, just because you say you have a different texture of hair and you really won't get the true indication of what the hair actually looks like online. Then again, your hair can grow past the shoulders, you just have to take care of it and keep it trimmed before it actually breaks off. I trim mine every 6 weeks and my hair is past my shoulders, almost to my bra strap. Good Luck!

They do exist and can also be found with human hair so they can be dyed to match your color.
